With the continuous development of China's building assembly, Open has developed a number of innovative products and technologies, and the projects using the new products have put forward higher requirements on the rapid manufacturing and delivery of the products. From design to production, from equipment to process, from production to transport, to better provide customers with high quality products, each link requires the collaboration of all departments without any gap.

In order to strengthen the collaboration ability of each department and improve the standardisation of Open innovative product design, on 1st December, the Detailed Drawing Department, the Design Department and the Manufacturing Department kicked off the kick-off meeting of the activity of ‘Being the Chief Engineer of Open for a Day’ in Jinshan Factory.

At the kick-off meeting, we discussed the problems found by the manufacturing department one by one. Afterwards, the designers went to the workshop to understand the process. By going into the workshop to see the details and listening to the production cost disassembly, the designers greatly deepened their understanding of the products.

To seek benefits from the blue sea of management, to control costs from the source of design, and to carry out the activity of ‘being the Chief Engineer of Open one day’, it is a way for Open to think about the optimal solution of the design programme from the ‘source’, to reduce costs and increase efficiency for the enterprise and to create value for the customers.
